you may have noticed on the countdown bar, we’re only a few days from the next mercury retro, which starts 10/28 and ends 11/17.

my chart has LOTS of mercury influences, so i tend to feel these things coming on a few days before and sure enough, yesterday things started going a bit haywire. software wasn’t working quite right, emails got sent twice without me having any idea how, miscommunications, tech support issues. blah.

we’ve been through this drill enough now that you non-believers can ignore this, but for the rest of you, the usual suspects apply–mercury rules communication and travel. during a retro period, expect minor snafus, delays and miscommunications.

good merc retro activities -

• double-checking important facts and documents for whatever you need to be doing.
• taking the back way home from work.
• finisihing old projects, or taking a fresh look at old issues.
• introspection of all ilks
• practicing patience! an astrologer i know said that during mercury retro, you stay home and paint your nails while you wait for the world to sort itself out.
• take a nap.
• staying home and re-reading an old, favorite book.
• editing your writing.
• laughing off any minor issues, realizing that by and large, it’s all pretty minor.

nothing to worry about unduly. and remember: mercury is a trickster! so whatever issues that come up, consider them more or less celesital practical jokes, and you’ll be cool.
