Working hard, baby!
Damn.
I’ve had a lot of work lately. Like any freelancer, I understand this is good, even though sometimes, it can be a bit stressful. As in, right now, I’m juggling maybe 6 or 7 different projects at various stages. Hell. I got 3 or so new projects in the last two days.
I got a couple of new “new age clients.” Metaphysical types, which are delightful to work with. You know why?
- They thank me. They tell me they appreciate me. Regularly.
- They pay promtly. Maybe even more than I charge them.
- They send me gifts. Seriously. How cool is that?
- They don’t get mad much. Like, when something takes a long time, they say, “Well, it will happen on ‘Universal time.’” So when the time is right, the site will finish materializing.
- They wish me well, and mean it.
I also got an account, looks like, designing a site for a local artist. How cool is that? Hubby suggested she might have her own way of doing things (which I have been known to bitch about). Â I countered that, while she might micromanage my work some, at least she has some skills and knowledge, one would assume, to back that up. Better than most of my clients telling me what to do. Har! But I’m looking forward to working with her, if all goes well. I think it will be fun.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to. Sometimes, it can be a bit much, having several things to juggle at once. You know. But it’s all good–especially on invoicing day.
Peace out.
