I’ve had a lot of stuff going on lately. People who spend any length of time talking to me have been forced to listen to long-winded accounts of my newest projects: getting a new web server and taking over LCE administration. It’s been stressful sometimes, but good overall. It’s like some of my plans are blooming, you know?

The new server means I have to learn lots of new stuff. However, I like to learn new stuff. It’s just nice, sometimes, when it’s a bit more leisurely, you know? And I’m not fond of that whole “noob” feeling that comes up when I don’t already know all my shit. But that’s ok. That goes away after a while. And I’ve wanted to expand my hosting biz for a long time now. I have some ideas about growing the biz and also using some of the income to do some good in the world at the same time. For me, work that also contributes to society at large is my ideal. I can feel good about that, you know?

And the work on LCE is very much like that, too. The new stuff to figure out is, at times, overwhelming, but also quite exhilerating. I’m VERY MUCH looking forward to getting the site completely moved over to my new server and set up, so I can concentrate on more fun stuff, like setting up new features for the members, optimizing for search engines and adsense revenue–sorry, but that IS my idea of fun; I know I’m…uh, well, let’s say “unique” in that regard–and making it all look pretty and do slick stuff. I mean, I KNOW this is a golden opportunity for me. This kind of thing doesn’t fall in your lap everyday. So I want to make the most of it. That site helped me a great deal in my efforts to lose weight, and I want to do my best to pay that back, and offer some of that same type of help to others.

That’s largely what’s on my mind right now.
