My “extended MD” celebration is going just fine.Today, my Old Navy order came in. A couple of pairs of shorts, a camisole, and a lovely, light cardigan to keep me warm if there’s a chill. I think I probably also “need” some more Bath & Bodyworks to complete my celebration, and have a couple of books coming from Amazon, including some new-agey stuff (my favorite) and something on cat behavior.

I’m totally digging my new Cat Genie…I didn’t take the advice strictly, and allowed my curious furballs to see the cleaning cycle right off the bat, so they are a bit skittish of the unit, but do still use it and definitely enjoy the always-clean litter. I added a Feliway plugin in the room with the box, and have been doing my best to assure them it’s not going to take off while their in it. (It has sensors.) It does an excellent job of cleaning the litter, however, and there is NO smell save a bit of cleaner scent from the disinfectant. Overall, I’ve been extremely pleased with the investment and am completely enjoying the freedom from daily litter box duty.

Amber called to wish me a happy MD, and we talked a few minutes. She says she’s happy with her new job of trainer, although it’s tougher than she expected. (Duh.) Baiely wished me happy MD when 1. I woke her up, and 2. I reminded her it was MD! Alex ignored the day, as I expected since it appears he’s cybersulking about something or other that I’m totally clueless about. When you’re deleted from the Friends lists, that tells you something…(and with his biomom, I KNOW he can’t forget MD let he be pummeled!)

Lately, I’ve been being kind to myself by allowing myself about an hour to read in the mornings. I pick some of my uplifting, positive, new age books and spend a little time outside if the weather is nice, drinking coffee and reading feel good kinda stuff. It makes for a terrific start to the day.

My few spring plants are doing nicely. I’ll include pix after I charge the camera battery, and I’d like to get more soon. I totally get so much pleasure out of them…

Anywho, that’s my news. And wishing for less work. But that part doesn’t seem too bad as long as I’m doing stuff I like. Peace out to all!
