black friday note

one thing i noticed i forgot to mention in my black friday post, which seemed a bit on the whiney side when i reread it…even though i was tired as hell and there were a billion and two people and we spent time standing outside in the middle of the night…well, it was kinda fun. yes. fun.

it was an adventure to hop in the car at 3am with my husband. and the people did have a general sense of comraderie there. we all knew we were silly, but we went out in the quest of deals. there was a certain “we’re all in this together” vibe. people shared information. they shared store circulars. they asked each other questions, and in general, were a lot more friendly than you normally get. not every single one, but a lot of ‘em.

and when we were in line at office depot, the chick behind us ended up getting a laptop she’d came for that she hadn’t thought she was going to be able to getshe was so excited, she started jumping up and down. she was squealing, a little anyway.

i dunno. it was just kind of cool to see that lady get so happy. i felt happy for her, too. even though i didn’t end up with everything  i wanted, it was nice to see somebody who did and was thrilled about it.

PersicopeHowdy, folks.

No, I haven’t forgotten about the blog. I know I’ve been quiet. My (three) readers must be getting bored. But that’s okay. I’ve been busy is all. Busy.

Lemme think of something to ramble about aimlessly and I’ll get back to youse all. Har!

Happy Halloween!

A great big happy Halloween to all you little ghouls and goblins…

google ads…

it’s interesting to see what google ads are triggered by the content. they go by content and, to some degree, by which one gets clicks.

thank god nobody was clicking on those damn birthday ones. that was annoying, seeing all those birthday ads for no reason.

yawners update

PersicopeY’all may be wondering what the hell I’m up to. Not much babbling here on the blog lately. WELL…

  • I did get my server issues worked out. If you count moving all my sites “worked out” that is. I’ve got a stray email issue going on with one of my clients, waiting for the nameserver changes to propogate which are being bizzarely slow. And don’t worry–you won’t be quizzed on what I’m babbling about.
  • Working. Plain and simple. I have several design projects underway at the moment, which tend to be time-consuming overall. Good for the pocketbook when I get paid, but not good for the blog content. Har!
  • Working on MY projects. Most notably, I’m still quite busy setting up the infrastructure for my new hosting company that I’m working on. I’m feeling VERY good about it, but getting everything ready to roll out is a big-ass job. At least, getting it set up the way I am envisioning it. Which is fine. Because I want to do the best I possibly can with this.
  • Life. I’m shopping, doing laundry, all that shit you do, you know.
