 I know it sucks to drive it, but I still think it’s beautiful to look at. I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday who absolutely loathes trying to drive in this kind of thing…if she were in charge of precipitation, we’d have very little of the snow.

“Maybe just on Christmas Eve?” I suggested. “Especially not on Christmas Eve!” is what she told me. Personally, I don’t feel that way, but as she reminded me, I do work at home, so I get it easy in that regard…While I’d gladly skip the nasty stuff to drive in myself, I do like to see a white cover every now and then.

i appreciate at the moment -

• sunsets.
• coffee time.
• an empty to-do list for work. (for a mintue)

Three things I appreciate right now:

• Intuition.
• Fuzzy pants and fuzzy socks–great for this weather!
• Crock pots. Great for easy cooking, man!

I talked about getting a gratitude journal this year–remember? I don’t think I mentioned the other part–the appointment book I got  to use was decorated with artwork from Thomas Kinkade.

That’s one of those things I’m kind of embarassed about. Sort of like watching “Dog the Bounty Hunter.” But God help me, I like Thomas Kinkade. Even if the artwork is cheesey and overly-floral and whispy-silly-lacking-edge or whatever. (more…)

Here are three things I’m appreciating right now–

• Bullshit-free zones. I appreciate having people around me who are real, honest and direct. In fact, that’s mostly the only thing I am interested in. I appreciate NOT being managed, spun, controlled, or otherwise manipulated. Bullshit is bullshit, regardless of the motivation; and regardless of the “purpose,”  bullshit always stinks.
• My MP3 player-makes work and play more fun.
• Christmas lights-Aren’t they the coolest?

• days when my clients are quiet
• my new sockmonkey pj’s I got for christmas
• caller id

Three more things I apprecaite right now…

• A big freezer. I love our big, floor freezer. You can pack all kinds of stuff in there!
• The magic of email. I do about  80-90% of my work via email. And that’s pretty cool.
• Wireless telephones. They are great, aren’t they?

 

I just started a cool little free online tarot class, here. It’s 8 weeks, and for the last lesson, I wrote about Tarot journaling. (We had to talk about an alternate use for the Tarot.) But anyway, I enjoyed doing it, and reading the other student’s answers.

So anyway, I figured since I’m in the class and all, I might try a little tarot journaling. I pulled Judgement. (more…)

• Beautiful weather; windows and fans are fabulous in late November.
• Old, worn T-shirts. Nothing’s more comfortable.
• Holiday Popcorn tins. It’s silly, but I’ve always loved ‘em.
